The Fourth of July Family Parade and Picnic

If you're already dreaming of summertime and all the activities that will be going on, you've got to add The Fourth of July Family Parade and Picnic to your list! You can even be part of it by entering your own float. They are encouraging marching bands, clubs, businesses, families and others to get involved in the fun.

Parade entry check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. on the 4th, and the parade begins at 10 a.m. The free picnic is at 11 a.m. in Falls Park following the parade. You can fill out a parade entry form here. To add to the day's fun, children are being encouraged to decorate their bikes and ride them in the parade too.

There will also be a Fun Run/Walk prior to the parade and live music with Mogen's Heroes, plus entertainment from the Bare Bodkins theater group, following the picnic lunch. A complete listing of the Friday, July 4th activities can be found here.
