The brightness of this big super moon charging up this week had me closing my blinds at night, and my dog mixing up day, and night.

It's given name is actually the 'Cold Moon', but Sundays moon will also be a Super Moon.

Here is why it gets the super tag of being a Super Moon.

According to Newsweek

A supermoon occurs when a full moon coincides with the perigee of the moon’s orbital cycle. A perigee is the point at which the moon moves closest to the Earth during orbit. Because the orbit is not a perfect circle, this means the moon typically sits anywhere between 252,000 and 226,00 miles from the earth.

That's a lot of science for this guy to wrap my head around.

I just know from life experience anytime you add the word super to anything it makes it more awesome!

Super Sized, Super Mario Brothers, Super Duper, Superman, and of course this weekends Super Moon!
