February2nd is Super Bowl 48. The first to ever be held outdoors in a cold weather climate. Right now, the weather guys are predicting more snow Friday and Saturday leading into the game and a temperature around freezing at kick-off.

The weather is the least of your worries if you're thinking about a spur of the minute trip however, because the costs are making it impossible for the 'common fan' to go. Check out some of these costs for next month's game:

--50 yard line seats will set you back $50,000, a luxury suite is going for $1 million ... and the WORST seat in the house will run you $2,700 (those $2700 seats are upper deck, end zone on StubHub).

--According to the Wall Street Journal, the NFL decided to raise ticket prices higher than they've ever been because 1) scalpers have been raising their prices and 2) a lot of people in the NY metropolitan area are wealthy.

--And then there's getting to the game ... The NFL wants everyone to take public transportation to the stadium to keep the parking nightmare and traffic under control. And for the first time, the Super Bowl will have no limo or taxi drop-off areas for all those rich people paying to freeze in their expensive seats. But if you really want to drive, parking passes are going for $350 on eBay

Let's face it, it's a LOT more fun to get together with the gang for a crock pot and cooler party. Everybody bring a dish to share and BYOB. Even if you're not a football fan, the parties are always a good time.

And if you're not a fan, here's some Super Bowl trivia that you can impress your friends with (or blow their minds that YOU knew this stuff!)

1. This is the first time since the 1990 season that the league's number-one scoring offense (Broncos) is facing the number-one defense (Seahawks) in the Super Bowl.

2. The last four NFC West teams to appear in a Super Bowl have lost. One of those was the 2005 Seahawks.

3. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was nine when Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was drafted by the Colts.

4. The Seahawks had the 26th-ranked passing offense this season. That's the lowest for a Super Bowl team ever.

5. Peyton Manning led the NFL in both passing yards and touchdown passes. That's pretty impressive. But it's bad news, as history has shown that quarterbacks who lead the league in both categories are 0-3 in Super Bowls.

Enjoy the game whether you're freezing your butt off on the east coast or watching the game from the comfort of your living room. Either way, pass the nachos and beer.
