While serial dater John Mayer and serial candy dress wearer Katy Perry haven't even officially confirmed their romance after several months of dating, public outings and photo opps, details of Mayer's customized Christmas present for the pop diva have been unveiled.

In what may be their first real public outing as a couple (well, aside from a really boring one back in October), Katy Perry and John Mayer hung out backstage at Broadway's 'A Christmas Story' with a bunch of kids. Finally, friends they can relate to on an intellectual level!

Katy Perry and John Mayer really are dating, you guys! The couple were spotted out with Mayer's father, Richard, in N.Y.C. Wednesday night (Dec. 12), as they  headed to dinner and the newest show on Broadway, 'A Christmas Story.' Yes, there's a broadway version of one of our favorite holiday movies, but we digress.

It's awkward enough running into an ex, but doing so when you're famous and everyone is aware of your split has got to be worse -- especially when you're out with someone new. Such was the case of Katy Perry, who narrowly avoided a run-in with ex-husband Russell Brand while out to dinner with her beau, John Mayer.

Things appear to be getting serious for Katy Perry and her BF, serial-dater-of-famous-women John Mayer. The twosome toured Perry's hometown of Santa Barbara, Calif. earlier this week. What's more romantic than cruising up and down the Cali coast in one of the most weather-friendly cities known to man?

Katy Perry, who turns 28 today (Oct. 25), and her on-again, off-again beau John Mayer are reportedly keeping her neighbors 'Wide Awake,' like her song of the same name.

It looks as though Katy Perry and John Mayer are still very much on! The on-again, off-again couple were most recently spotted together at Perry's birthday bash at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles, and leave it to Perry to get into the Halloween spirt and require her guests to wear costumes. Sounds like her public persona might be mixing slightly with her personal life.

Katy Perry loves to try taming bad boys, and John Mayeris the latest. While she insists she doesn't want to be one of Mayer's conquests, she's perfectly content making him one of hers. Sources say she's determined to try to change his ways. How's she doing it?
