Talented Puppy Deserves a ‘Pawscar’ for His Performance

Forget about the controversies swirling around this year's Oscars. Someone will win, lots of people will lose and in the end most of us in this area will have seen very few of the nominated movies. So let's go in a different direction, shall we? Every year the American Humane Association sponsors "The Pawscars"!

That is correct, it's the Oscars- for animals! It honors animals that appear in movies and on television, in categories like Most Moving Performance, Best Hero Dog, Favorite Animal Buddy and so many more. This year's awards are already available to watch online hosted by Pauley Perrette, who stars on CBS's NCIS, and actor (Trouble With the Curve, Modern Family) and animal activist Lou Wegner.

I have two big German Shepherds who could easily win awards for "Naughtiest Beasts on the Planet" and "Messiest Dogs Who Ever Lived", but those are stories for another time. To me, (and I realize I'm extremely biased in this regard) German Shepherds are the cutest puppies in the universe, so when I saw this little guy's video, I melted. At the very least, I know it will make you smile.
