Taylor Swift has been pretty mum regarding details about her highly anticipated new album, but she recently retweeted perhaps the most telling statement of all concerning the new record.

When USA Today journalist Brian Mansfield tweeted a pretty bold statement about T. Swift's new tracks, the 'Sweeter Than Fiction' singer was quick to retweet it herself:

Wow. If that doesn't give us insanely high hopes about her upcoming album, we don't know what will.

Mansfield also revealed that Swift has expanded the subjects that she writes about, which should come as good news to nay-sayers who believe she always writes about relationships. Mansfield tweeted:

And while she has been more hush-hush in recent months, Swift did gush about her upcoming record backstage at last year's AMAs.

“I’m so obsessed with where it is right now because I think, for me, the goal is that we start coming upon a sound that’s different from everything that we’ve done before, an identity to a new record,” she revealed in November 2013. “Having come upon that so early in the process is just really thrilling.”

Additionally, some reports have hinted that Swift's new sound for this album is more rock -- a genre we'd love to see the country-pop crossover dip into more. And based on everything that we've heard so far, we absolutely can't wait to see exactly what it is that T. Swizzle has up her sleeve.
