Do you find yourself always straying off to sites like Facebook, because you just can't seem to focus at work? This might help.

If you want to become an at-work dynamo, all you need to do is follow these simple steps.

There's a study out that analyzed the best way for people to maximize their efficiency at work. The secret is bursts of concentration followed by semi-long breaks.

If you want to be at your best on the job, you must first focus as hard as you can for 52 minutes, then take a 17-minute break. During your break, make sure to get up, walk around, and most importantly stay away from your computer and your chair.

If you repeat the cycle for a whole eight-hour work day, you'll wind up taking two hours of breaks. Good luck trying to pull that off without the boss noticing!

According to the study, if you follow that routine you'll still get more done than if you worked straight through for eight hours.

The main reason why is that our brains just aren't designed to focus for eight hours a day. If you try to work eight continuous hours, you'll never hit your maximum efficiency. But, if you work hard for almost an hour, then take a decent break, you supposedly will always be at your best.
