Next time you're strolling through downtown Sioux Falls enjoying all this beautiful spring weather, you will see a few new additions.

The city recently rolled out all the new art sculptures that will make up the 2015 Downtown Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk.

It's the 12th season of the downtown sculpture walk in Sioux Falls.

The sculptures are displayed year-around. Each sculpture is owned by the sculptors and loaned to the exhibit.

From May 3 through September 30, the public votes for The People’s Choice sculpture and the winning sculpture is purchased by the City of Sioux Falls  at the end of the exhibit year. The winning artist will also receive a cash award and certificate.

Teresa Lind, one of the artists traveled all the way from Wisconsin for the new 2015 sculptures.

Lind’s two sculptures will be displayed on Phillips Avenue. Both sculpts are figurative female forms. She says her work is inspired by her female students.

Being part of the 2015 Sculpture Walk is very humbling and she hopes those who walk by her work are impacted by the two sculptures, according to Lind.

Lind says, “I hope that they see that women can be beautiful and feminine but also capable, gritty and graceful.”

Lind's two pieces will be part of 55 new sculptures that were installed throughout the downtown area on Saturday. There's a wide array of new sculpts this year, everything from Abraham Lincoln to river otters.

The 2015 sculptures total more than $1 million.
