Where is the trendiest neighborhood in every state? Travel writers from Thrillist looked at the factors of every state using barometers such as trendy restaurants, craft beers, cocktail bars, piano dives, bike riding ease, friendliness, and growth and development.

In the findings, Downtown Sioux Falls is the hippest neighborhood in South Dakota.

Picking the hippest neighborhood in South Dakota is kind of like picking the trendiest saloon in a Clint Eastwood movie, but the downtown area of the state’s biggest city is making a solid play for that title. There’s pork belly ramen on the menu at Parker’s Bistro, award-winning wine on tap at Prairie Berry East Bank, and B-sides aplenty at Total Drag Records. Let's find out where the hipsters from a few neighboring states are hangin' out:

Nebraska: The Haymarket in Lincoln. Home of the Bourbon Theatre and Joysticks Arcade Bar, where you can drink while playing Donkey Kong!

Iowa: The East Village in Des Moines. Home of the Zombie Burger, and live music at the famed House of Bricks.

Minnesota: Northeast: Featuring hundreds of skee ball lanes, 400+ artists. They also boast some of the best craft beers in the country.

North Dakota: Downtown Fargo: It's not just for wood chippers anymore. The famous Rooster Bar is perched in the heart of the city and several acres of patios when the weather is nice. That would be the three months that are not winter.

Check out where the hipsters are hanging out in the rest of the states - and happy traveling!
