Raised with a bunch of brothers and sisters?

New research out of Ohio State University indicates that could mean a healthier marriage as an adult.

Professor of Sociology Doug Downey says the more brothers and sisters you have, the less likely you are to get divorced as an adult.

Each sibling that you had reduces the likelihood of divorce by 2%.  Sibling actions, some of them are positive, some of them are negative, and they tend to facilitate relationship building skills.

Downey says after seven siblings, the effect seems to drop off.

Researchers checked out 57 thousand Americans throughout their lives between 1972 and 2012.

They found the benefit held consistent regardless of a set of factors including education and socioeconomic status.
