You might have read about the Frontier Airlines pilot that recently bought pizza for the entire plane because the flight was delayed and the passengers were stuck on the tarmac for an extended period time? It was a nice gesture on his part to help take the sting out of one of those annoying airline delays.

If you do a lot of air travel, now you can take steps to ensure these unexpected delays turn into a pleasurable experience should they happen to you.

You can now buy travel insurance that pays out if your flight gets delayed.

Berkshire Hathaway has a new travel insurance policy that will cost you $25 per person, per flight. It's actually quite affordable. Should your flight gets delayed more than two hours, you can double your money by getting 50 bucks.

But big bucks start coming your way, if you board the plane and it gets delayed on the tarmac for more than two hours. Should that happen, the policy will pay you $1,000!

You also get $500 if you miss a connecting flight because of a delay. Another $500 if it takes more than 12 hours for your luggage to show up and $1,000 if your luggage gets lost or stolen.

Get this; you don't even have to file a claim. They will automatically track it, and your money will show up in your bank account or PayPal account the next day.
