Summertime is a dumping ground for reality TV, now that most network television is in re-run season.

I personally have never been a big fan of reality TV shows, but my wife is, so we always seem to have one of these reality TV shows on the tube at my house most nights.

She is a big fan of all those "Real Housewives" shows. I don't know the exact number of how many different Real Housewives shows there are,  but there sure seems to be a bazillion different ones running at any given time.

I caught a few minutes of the special sneak peek of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" that she was watching on Sunday night on Bravo. (Against my own better judgment I might add.)

I need to start by saying there is no way this can be considered "reality." Because no one's reality could be filled with this much dysfunction all the time.

These Real Housewives shows are about as "real" as the WWE or Pamela Anderson's chest if you ask me.

If you watch the show, you probably know there's a BIG cast shakeup planned for this season. Gone are Caroline and her sister-in-law Jacqueline. In are  Amber Marchese and twins Teresa Aprea and Nicole Mauriello. Along with another familiar face Dina Manzo, who was a cast member in season one and left during the filming of season two.

Dina also happens to be the sister of Caroline Manzo. Dina and Caroline haven't spoken in years due to an ongoing feud.

These new cast members are guaranteed to "pepper up the series" with an assortment of backstabbing that could end friendships and ruin families.  So what else is new right?

Bravo says the majority of the season will supposedly focus on the legal woes of cast leftovers Theresa and Joe Giudice. And their relationship with the shows other remaining holdovers, Melissa and Joe Gorga. Joe Gorga is the brother of Theresa Giudice if you're following along at home.

Word has it the Giudice's receive the unexpected support of the Gorga's in the midst of all their legal troubles. This is surprising if you're a fan of the show, since these two couples spend most of the time at each other's throats!

The cat fights, backstabbing, and bitching for another season begins on Sunday, July 13th on Bravo, as season 6 of the New Jersey gals begins.
