The Science of Buying Concert Tickets Before They Sell Out

With ticket sales soon underway for Ed Sheeran and Kenny Chesney, we went straight to Rick Huffman of the Denny Sanford Premier Center to get advice on how to snag tickets before they're gone.

• Sign up to get alerts on the Denny Sanford Premier Center website and you'll often get pre-sale codes to purchase tickets early.
• Join the fan club for the artist or band to get pre-sale ticket possibilities
• Go on ticketmaster before tickets become available and set up your user account, so when tickets are on sale, you're good to go.  Keep in mind that whenever someone is on ticketmaster viewing tickets, they are on "hold" till a buying decision is made.  If the person chooses not to buy, those tickets become available once again for you to then purchase.  Keep trying on ticketmaster as  more tickets may become available as others let go of their "held" tickets when they log off the website.
