That evidently is the secret to getting a better nights sleep according to a new sleep and mood study.
The study found that people with Blue walls in their bedrooms average the most sleep each night. Seven hours and 52 minutes to be exact. The color blue isn’t just calming, it also triggers special receptors in our eyes that aid our body’s natural sleep rhythms.
If you want to walk around the next day with big black bags under your eyes, paint your walls purple. Having purple walls in your bedroom will get you the worst nights sleep according to the study, at five hours and 56 minutes. Purple is a stimulating color that makes it tougher for your brain to shut down.
The color brown came in second-to-last, at six hours and 5 minutes of sleep. There’s a good reason for that however, people with brown bedroom walls have the most sex.
In case you’re wondering, people with red bedrooms have the least amount of extracurricular activities going on in the bedroom each night. Even though red is suppose to be a sexy color. Hmm?
