They’re Not Hot Dogs, They’re Pretzel Sausages

Rename it - or take it off the menu. That's the deal when it comes to selling hot dogs in Malaysia.

The Auntie Anne's restaurant chain has been told by Islamic authorities that its popular 'Pretzel Dog,' which contains no dog meat, has to be renamed.

Apparently, it's confusing for Muslim consumers. Dogs are deemed to be 'unclean' in Islam.

The move comes as conservative attitudes in the country are on the increase.
