I love getting Christmas cards and I love sending them! But every year I receive fewer and fewer and for the last several years sending them has fallen farther down my 'must-do' list.

Thank goodness I have friends like the Huntingtons. This is the card they sent me this year:

They always send beautiful photograph cards and I've kept every single one because they serve as a history of their lives together; from young married couple to parents twice over. I don't get to see them as often as I once did, but getting these cards remind me of the close connection we've had over the years.

Chad first came into Ben's and my life as a young college intern. He became our "Goat Boy" and ended up being forced to do things no human being should have to do, like riding through the Empire Car Wash strapped to the hood of the station vehicle in a rain poncho. To this day, the memory of him on-air, live, screaming for dear life as he was pummeled, washed and waxed, still makes me laugh until I cry.

Chad has grown into an incredibly accomplished person in his work life and is a wonderful husband and father. His beautiful wife Jill is a hardworking pharmacist and mom, who still has no problem sharing her family with people like me. Which I appreciate, because Chad, aka "Goat Boy", will always be one of my "kids"!

Yes, I love Christmas cards. Long may they live in this ridiculously, digitally focused world!
