Welcome to another snowy weekend in the Sioux Empire. Plenty of stuff going on again for you and the family. Along with a few fun things to do on New Years Eve too! Here's a quick look at what's happening in the Sioux Empire:

  • SIOUX FALLS SKYFORCE…7pm this Friday and Saturday night at the Sioux Falls Arena.  The Force plays host Maine.
  • SIOUX FALLS SKYFORCE…5:05pm this Sunday at the Sioux Falls Arena.  The Herd host the Des Moines Buccaneers.
  • A GRASSLAND CHRISTMAS LIGHT SHOW…Now throught January 1st at 2805 North Lyme Grass Avenue.  Nightly from 5-10pm.  See a musical display of holiday lights.  Free-will donations will be accepted with 100% of the proceeds going to the Sioux Falls Humane Society.
  • WINTER WONDERLAND AT FALLS PARK...the 10th annual Winter Wonderland at Falls Park is a dazzling display of holiday lights for all ages. Falls Park will “light up” nightly from now January 6, 2013. See thousands of lights throughout the park turned on for the season, Santa & Mrs. Claus, reindeer and animal friends, music and refreshments will be available throughout the evening. Falls Park entrances will be closed throughout the evening to drive through traffic.Park downtown and ride the free trolley to Falls Park on Saturdays from 10am-8pm.
  • CHRISTMAS AT THE WESTERN MALL…Now through January 1st.  See the digital light display set to holiday music.  Free-will donations support Make-A-Wish of South Dakota.
  • 5TH ANNUAL MAKE-A-WISH CHAMPAGNE BALL…Monday from 8pm-Midnight at ICON Lounge in downtown Sioux Falls.  Featuring music from Kory and the Fireflies and a champagne toast at midnight.  Tickets are $75 and includes party favors, champagne toast, entertainment and hors d’oeuvres.  Formal attire and masks are recommended.  To purchase tickets call Make a Wish at 335-8000 or at ICON that night.
  • THE JANITOR BOB NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY…Monday at 9pm at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.  All ages show.  Special guest Avian Sunrise.  Tickets are $16 in advance at the Convention Center, Last Stop CD Shop and Ernie November.
