SIOUX FALLS ROLLER DOLLZ BACON FEST…Saturday from 1-4pm at the Coliseum in downtown Sioux Falls. There will be a bacon cook-off, concession stand, pig “oink” contest, kids activity area, face painting, bacon eating contest, live music and more. Free admission. Buy a $10 “Pork Passport” sample taster ticket. Proceeds benefit the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz.

WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES…Saturday at 9am at Globe University. Men and women literally walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes to protest sexualized violence and raise money for the Compass Center which offers many programs to help individuals with rape and domestic violence abuse issues. Registration fee is $10. You must supply your own heels.

GIRL SCOUTS – DAKOTA HORIZONS BIG EVENT…Saturday from Noon-3pm at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Over 20 booths will provide hands-on learning opportunities which engage girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Experience a cloud chamber, build robots with the area’s LEGO League and walk through Sanford’s Mega Heart.
