Another full slate of fun activities in the Sioux Empire this weekend. Don't forget this is also time change weekend. Remember, before you go to bed Saturday night, set your clocks BACK one hour and change the batteries in your smoke alarms.

 

SIOUX EMPIRE COMMUNITY THEATER PRESENTS ‘CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF. Saturday at 7:30pm and 2:00pm on Sunday at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.

BLUE STAR FAMILY APPRECIATION EVENT…Saturday from 10:30am-1pm at Active Generations, 2300 W. 46th Street.  The event is for active duty, guard and reserve families.  The event includes a free BBQ pork lunch, ice cream sundae bar, carnival games, chair massages, Zoo Express, door prizes and more.  Reservations are requested.

AUGUSTANA FOOTBALL Saturday at 1:00pm at Kirkeby-Over Stadium.  Come cheer on the Vikings as they host Winona State University.

SIOUX FALLS STAMPEDE…Saturday at 7:05pm at the Sioux Falls Arena.  The Stampede plays host to the Chicago Steel.  

FESTIVAL OF MEN’S VOICES…Sunday at 2:30pm at the Performing Arts Center at O’Gorman High School.  A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the Banquet’s Project SOS which provides school supplies to children in low income households.

THIS IS THE 60’S…Sunday at 7:00pm at the Washington Pavilion.  A flashback to the 60’s told through live music with songs from the Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and the Monkees.  You’ll see how the music affected the events, and the events affected the music of the historic decade.

LEAF DROP OFF SITES open until November 23. 9am-5pm Monday through Saturday and Noon-5pm on Sundays.  There are 2 leaf and branch drop off sites; on the East side on East Chambers Street by the Household Hazardous Waste Facility and on the West side on North Lyon Blvd west of the Fairgrounds.  $2:00 for a car, pickup, full-size SUV, van or 2-wheel trailers.
