One of the best parts of the 'Thor' movies is Jaimie Alexander's Sif, one of Thor's female fighting companions who's just as badass as her male counterparts. And while we wait for Marvel to pull the trigger on a female-centric superhero movie, Alexander herself has hinted that she's been talking to Warner Bros. about joining up with their superhero team as well. Could Alexander be Wonder Woman, perhaps?

The desire for a Wonder Woman movie seems to have hit a fever pitch this year, with Marvel teasing plans for a female-led superhero film and DC and Warner Bros. planning on a 'Justice League' film in the near future -- the reality of which became all the more possible thanks to Ben Affleck's casting as Batman in 'Batman vs. Superman.' But who could fill the shoes of Wonder Woman? 'Thor: The Dark World' star Jaimie Alexander, maybe!

The actress recently spoke at a panel, detailed by Forbes magazine, in which she hinted that she's been meeting with Warner Bros. and knows quite a bit about the upcoming 'Batman vs. Superman' movie:

Alexander went on to say followed that up by saying her confidence in Affleck’s casting is bolstered by the fact he is so suited for the particular Batman portrayal in the film — and her reason for that certainty is, as she put it, she “kind of knows the story line for that movie.”

So, by the end of the panel, we’d heard that Jaimie Alexander had had conversations with both Marvel and WB regarding their superhero movies, and that she knows things about the Batman vs. Superman film.

Of course, there's no script for a Wonder Woman film, so any speculation right now is completely premature, but the idea of Alexander as Wonder Woman is a pretty great one, and she's certainly proved she's got the chops to pull off a strong female hero. Might we see Alexander in 'Batman vs. Superman'? Her comments certainly seem to hint at some sort of involvement, and we can't wait to learn more.
