A one vehicle rollover on I-90 Saturday evening has killed all four passengers. The Highway Patrol responded to a call about 5:15 Saturday evening of a truck that had crashed under a bridge just west of the I-29 and I-90 interchange.

The eastbound truck struck the median and rolled into a dry creek bed. The adult driver and two children in the back seat were pronounced dead at the scene while the adult front seat passenger was taken to Sanford Hospital, where they later died. All four were wearing their safety belts.

A press release sent out by Sioux Falls Christian Schools has identified the victims as Jim and Julie Vollmer, their 16-year old daughter Alyssa and 13-year old son Caleb. The Vollmer's oldest daughter Brittney is a sophomore at Northwestern College and was not involved in the crash. Jim worked at Avera Behavioral Health while Julie worked at Sanford USD Medical Center. Alyssa and Caleb were students at Sioux Falls Christian, where a memorial was held Sunday afternoon for students and parents. Pastors and counselors were also available.
