If you want to increase your productivity at work, Yahoo Health has a few suggestions.  Albeit, some of these tips seem a little bizarre, you might want to give them a shot. Who knows, they could just transform you into an At Work dynamo!

Leave Work Early. It's been proven that people tend to work more slowly when they have more time. If you know you're leaving work earlier than normal, you'll start to work faster and leave fewer things undone.

Don't Multitask. People have a tendency to believe that multitasking makes you more productive. In fact the exact opposite happens. By trying to do two things at once you end up getting distracted by both things. You will work faster if you give one thing your full attention, then move on to the next.

Don't Read the News. Even when the news isn't distracting or depressing, it still takes brainpower to focus on it. Your brain wears down as the day goes on. Save your best brain power for the job, and catch up on the news once you get home.

Exercise Before Work. By exercising you bring glucose and oxygen to the brain, allowing you to think better for about two hours afterwards. You can actually keep your brain charged up and going throughout the workday by doing simple exercises like jumping jacks here and there when you get a chance.

Eat Lots of Berries and Snacks. Berries are high in antioxidants, which can improve your memory. You should also try eating other snacks that are high in protein throughout the day. Otherwise you run the risk of a sugar crash at some point.

Work in a Yellow Room. Yep, it’s time to ask the boss if you can paint the walls in your office yellow. Scientific studies have shown that workers said their moods are better when there are yellow decorations around the office. If you're unable to repaint the walls yellow where you work, try letting in as much natural light as possible. Or consider picking a "yellow" background image for your computer screen.
