Tom Petty’s Swing Through the Midwest in 2017

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have announced their 40th Anniversary Tour and it has included a swing through the Midwest. Although Sioux Falls is not part of the initial tour dates, these are a few opportunities to roadtrip.

• June 3, Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, MN
• June 5, Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, IA

Petty says more dates are expected soon. Sioux Falls rock fans are hoping Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will spend a night at the Denny Sanford premier Center. The last time Petty performed in Sioux Falls was June of 2003 in front of 6,100 fans at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Tapped to open several of the dates is Joe Walsh, while Chris Stapleton will appear at the band's Wrigley Field show in Chicago and for two nights in Milwaukee.
