During an event for the Trans Chorus of L.A., Caitlyn Jenner got called out by trans rights activist Ashlee Marie Preston. Preston apparently believed that Jenner was in attendance at the event, and wanted to call out the Jenner's "betrayal" of trans people when she voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

Preston serves as the editor-in-chief at the Wear Your Voice magazine, which claims to be a "intersectional feminist publication." Her speech at the Trans Chorus event focused on the contradiction between supporting Trump and claiming to be a trans role model. The video of her speech, posted on her Facebook page, has over 300,000 views already.

“It’s really f--ked up that you continue to support somebody ... that does everything with the military, that’s erasing our f--king community," Preston said. "And you support it.”

Preston has since resigned from Trans Chorus of L.A., telling Huffington Post that "felt the mission on paper differed from the active mission, which didn’t align with my personal values." She called the organization "complicit" in Jenner's actions and political views.

“Caitlyn Jenner is a text book case on cognitive dissonance and her vote against her own supposed interests made that evident,” Preston said. “She owes the community an apology; giving us the change from her bra is like putting a band-aid over a bullet wound. Her commentary and actions have carried real consequences for the transgender community; people who aren’t afforded the same protections and privilege as she has.”

Caitlyn Jenner has not yet commented on Preston's accusations.
