Trick-or-Treat Trail Run

The 5th annual Trick or Treat Trail Run will be Saturday, October 26th, 2013 @ 10:00 A.M. The trail run will include a 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run. Both events will take place at Pasley Park on the bike path along the scenic Big Sioux River. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome.

NEW THIS YEAR: Candy Dash - For ages 3-10 This race is .5 mile. Each finisher receives a goodie bag and event shirt. Awards given for best male and best female youth costumes. The Candy Dash for youth 3-10 will start at 9:30 A.M.

Packet pick-up will be at the Runner’s Block (NW corner of 57th St. and Louise Ave.) on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 10A.M. – 7 P.M. Packet pick-up will also be available the morning of the race from 8-9:15 A.M. at Pasley Park under the shelter.

With over 700 entrants in 2012, this year's Trick or Treat Trail Run will once again have Chip Timing for both events. Participant times will be available shortly after crossing the finish line at the registration table as well as on-line.

USATF Course Certified (United States of America Track & Field)

Event Location: PASLEY PARK (Just South of 26th St. on Southeastern Ave.)

Both the 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run will be an out and back from Pasley Park. STAGGERED START... Both events will run South towards Yankton Trail.

Costume Judging: Costume judging will take place at Pasley Park next to the registration table inside the haunted house!! Costume judging will take place from 7:30 – 9:15 a.m. – Please arrive early!!!!!

Costume Contest Rules:

1) You must be a registered participant and complete the race event in your costume to be eligible for prizes.

2) Team and Couples must come to the judging table together to be eligible.

3) If you are a Team, you must have a team name. We will use this name for judging.

4) You must have a race number visible to be eligible for the Costume Contest.

5) Please keep your race bib number on for winner announcements.

6) You must be present at the awards ceremony to win a prize
