Sioux Falls Police say they conducted an alcohol compliance check on Monday. Twenty-four off-sale businesses were checked, with twenty-two passing.

The two businesses that did not pass the check were:

Sunshine Food Market #1, at 530 South 2nd Avenue and Walgreens, at 1806 South Minnesota Avenue.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says the violations broke a streak in which police had 100 percent compliance for three checks in a row.

The clerks who sold alcohol were cited for furnishing alcohol to someone 18-21 years old, and will be required to appear in court.

Businesses that fail the compliance check could be fined or have their liquor license suspended.

Each business with an alcohol license is checked at least twice a year.
