Two 16-year-old boys were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center early Friday after a series of vandalism cases in the eastern part of the city involving a BB-gun.

Officer Sam Clemens says police were alerted around 12:45am by a resident on North Vail Circle who reported a window in his house had been shot several times with a BB-gun.

He says the man found other windows had been shot in his house and and his car, damage he estimated at around $1200.

When officers arrived, they found other house and vehicle windows had also been shot.

Clemens says an officer saw two people near Madison and Sycamore who took off running when they saw him.

One was located and arrested around 3am and the second was arrested an hour later.

Both are charged with fleeing, curfew violation and intentional damage to property.

In all Clemens says three houses and three vehicles were vandalized.
