The Helpline Center congratulates Jeff & Jan Oltman on being named the August 2016 Volunteers of the Month, sponsored by the Helpline Center and MetaBank.

Jeff and Jan joined the Center of Hope team 3-1/2 years ago. They both spend an average of 13 hours each week at Center of Hope.

Jan's main volunteer job is as hostess at the front desk, where she offers words of encouragement, and referrals for other opportunities of aide in Sioux Falls.

Jeff is usually found in the Bike Ministry Shop where he prepares bikes for the public, and helps guests repair their personal bikes.

Randi Helder is a director at the Center of Hope,

“Jeff and Jan Oltman are two wonderful people, individually and as a couple. They both are shining examples of fulfilling the Center of Hope motto of sowing seeds of God's love physically and spiritually. Jan and Jeff each have a genuine desire to make people feel accepted and respected. Words are inadequate when it comes to Center of Hope's thanks to these two, and Sioux Falls is a much better place because of them and their times of volunteering.”

The Helpline Center and MetaBank are pleased to present Jeff and Jan with a framed certificate, a gift from MetaBank and a letter of appreciation from Mayor Huether.

They will also be honored again at the Spirit of Volunteerism Awards banquet on May 11, 2017 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
