When we see some of the crazy things that people do or attempt to do, most of us are inclined to shake our heads in disbelief and ask "why?". That thought occurred to me this morning when I saw this video for the first time. And then for some unknown reason I remembered this line from the late Robert F Kennedy, " Some people see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and say why not?"

Of course he was paraphrasing a character in a George Bernard Shaw play that no one remembers, but- I digress. Not that this stunt compares to some of the amazing things that have been accomplished in all of the history of mankind, but at best the scenery is amazing and at worst the stunt is mildly amusing.

Robbie "Maddo" Maddison is an Australian motorbike stunt rider who has won all kinds of X games medals and is generally considered one of the best FMX (freestyle trick riding) riders of all time. He spent nearly three years dreaming about, preparing for and planning to execute this stunning juxtaposition of beauty of nature and machine.

The illusion is pretty cool. Enjoy!
