Watch What Happens When You Get 14 Inches of Rain in Less Than 30 Days
It’s not exactly time-lapse photography, but the contrast from the different images is quite impressive.
Image number one is from a video taken of honking geese in the retention pond near the studios on May 23, 2014. Note the exposed ground where the geese are making their racket.

The second image is after a series of rain showers at the end of May and early June brought 3.5 inches of rain. Water levels are higher and the exposed area is covered. Photo was taken on June 2, 2014.
Record rainfall over three straight days brought more water to the area as the photo taken June 17, 2014 will attest. Also the surrounding grass is much greener and the water flowing through makes the surface much cloudier. Most likely, this will be the highest level of water this pond will ever see.
Our hearts go out to those who have been adversely affected by all the rain in our area.
