Starting in May, when you walk through parts of Watertown, South Dakota you will see a sculpture walk similar to the one found in downtown Sioux Falls.

Nine sculptures will go on display May 1 in Uptown Watertown for 10 months to create the Watertown Artwalk.

The tour will begin at the Watertown Community Foundation and continue for three blocks to the Medical Arts Building.

You will also be able to find a 10th sculpture located in front of the Redlin Art Center in Watertown.

The Watertown Artwalk is possible because of a donation from Joy Nelson, who established The Joy Fund for Community Beautification. A fund designed for revitalization, beautification and historic preservation projects.

Organizers of the Watertown Artwalk consulted with people from Sculpture Walk Sioux Falls according to Greg Blow, coordinator of Watertown Artwalk Inc. Blow said, the people from the Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk offered advice and help, which saved time and money for the Watertown project.
