This weekend the city of Sioux Falls will be conducting road work around town. Below is a list of some of the roads that will be affected this weekend and Monday.

Lane Closure – Sixth Street

On Saturday morning, December 1, 2012, the outside eastbound lane on Sixth Street at First Avenue will be closed. Eastbound traffic will use the inside eastbound lane.

Henry Carlson Company will be performing building maintenance work. The work is anticipated to be finished by the evening of December 7, 2012.

Lane Closure – Eighth Street

On Saturday morning, December 1, 2012, the outside eastbound lane on Eighth Street between Dakota Avenue and Main Avenue will be closed. Eastbound traffic will use the inside eastbound lane. The sidewalk on the south side of Eighth Street between Dakota Avenue and Main Avenue will also be closed.

McCollar Construction will be performing sidewalk repairs. The work is anticipated to be finished by the evening of December 3, 2012.

Lane Closure - Shirley Avenue

Beginning Monday, December 3, 2012, a lane will be closed on Shirley Avenue between 41st Street and Shirley Place for curb and gutter repairs. Traffic in both directions will be maintained at all times.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in this area.

The project is anticipated to be complete within 5 days. Work is being completed by the Public Works Street Division.

Lane Closures – Sixth Street from Minnesota Avenue to Weber Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning, December 3, 2012, soil boring crews will be working on Sixth Street between Minnesota Avenue and Weber Avenue. Traffic will be maintained in all directions at all times.

Geotek Engineering & Testing will be performing the work. The work is anticipated to be finished by the evening of December 4, 2012.
