Poodle Exercise Video
Youtube

With the holidays officially over, maybe you have noticed a few extra pounds around that waistline…thanks to all the holiday goodies.  And with the New Year, many are making the promise to themselves to get into shape.

But if going to a gym just isn’t your thing, the only other option may be to find the perfect workout video that will help bring that pre-holiday shape back to your post-holiday body, in the comfort of your own home.

With exercise tips from poodle lovers and a woman that likes to prance like a horse, to a workout video for young teens and senior citizens, these workout videos might not get you fit and trim.  They will, however, make you laugh and realize that going to the gym might be the better idea.

Prancercise

Joanna Rohrback is the founder of this great workout!  It's called 'Prancercise' and is a combination of "a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to that of a horse."  Originally released in 1989, this method of exercise is just finding popularity now, but maybe not for the reasons why Joanna first wanted it to.

Poodle Exercise With Humans

Many people love to exercise with their pets.  But this exercise video starring model Mariko Takahashi is just a bit creepy.  It is a word for word parody of a workout video by Susan Powter and made by Nagi Noda for Panasonic. For some reason, it was part of 10 films they made for the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Dance! Workout With Barbie!

It's always good to start exercising at an early age.  That's why this exercise video is aimed at doing just that.  It does star Barbie (unrealistic body proportions included) and aims such exercises as the "Sidewalk Strut" at young teen girls.

Dixie Carter's Unworkout Video

In this workout video from 1992, Dixie Carter invites everyone to slow things down with some breathing exercises, which her husband says "shouldn't be shown to the public".  Dixie calls it "the lion", and be ready to hear her roar around the 1:40 mark.

Estelle Getty-Young At Heart-Body Conditioning

Even though everybody's favorite 'Golden Girl', Estelle Getty passed away in 2008, she does have a workout video that is as sassy as she was.  Starting by saying that she's glad the viewer figured out how to turn on the VCR, this 1993 workout video for senior citizens focuses on body posture, conditioning and getting you in shape for....this.  (Wait for it.....at the 3:20 mark.)
