What music did you grow up with?

Most likely your parents had some influence with their choice of music.  Depending on the era, a persons music choice can have a bearing on how they develop.

People who grew up with heavy metal might be more well-adjusted than people who listen to other types of music.

Researchers found that metal-heads from the '80s "were significantly HAPPIER in their youth."  Quote, "[Fans] felt a kinship in the metal community, and [had] a way to experience heightened emotions with like-minded people."

It's possible the data was skewed though, because most of the people in the study were, quote, "relatively high functioning individuals."  In other words, you're not that likely to sign up for a study if you still listen to Slayer and get hammered every day.

Speaking of 'high' if you grew up in the 70's are you more apt to be a Joker, or a smoker, a midnight toker?
