The August 21st solar eclipse is generating some serious buzz across the planet. While most of the attention is among the towns and cities along a path from Oregon to South Carolina, sky watchers in Sioux Falls will still experience the phenomenon.

I found a very cool interactive map by Time and all you have to do is enter your zip code to see what it will actually look like. Check it out here.

Sioux Falls will see around 90% of a total eclipse while West River experiences about 95%.

As the solar eclipse nears, here's 5 things that happens during an eclipse.

Oh, and don't forget, do not stare directly into the eclipse. It'll burn up your cones and rods - and that would suck.
