Winterfest of Wheels
The annual Winterfest of Wheels indoor car show will be at the Sioux Falls Convention Center February 8-10 to benefit Cure Kids Cancer at Sanford Children’s Hospital.
The vehicles change every year for this premier event which features award winning cars, cars you’ve only seen in magazines, and some vehicles that you’d only see if you were friends with the owners. Rarely seen collector cars and even a few motorcycles will be on display as well.
Winterfest of Wheels is the brainchild of Dave and Karen Leisinger who wanted to not only put on the best car show anywhere in the region, but they wanted to benefit a local kids charity. They chose Cure Kids Cancer, which is very near and dear to our hearts.
On Saturday February 9, Frank Fritz, one of the stars of TV’s “American Pickers” will be there signing autographs from 1-4pm and again from 7-9pm!
In addition to the cars and celebrities, there will be a lot of vendors on hand, raffles, a ‘Ditch Your Man Room’ with a lot of vendors just for the ladies and even a ‘Little Cruisers” store for kids!
And Friday night, head out for Rockabilly band Big Red Rawkit Riot!
Hours are 5:00-10:00 Friday, 10am-9pm Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. Admission is just $9 a day or you can get a weekend pass for $15 and come as often as you want! Kids 12 and under are free if accompanied by an adult and all profits go to the charity!
