A Wisconsin man is charged in Sioux Falls after police say they caught him over the weekend with two women, one of them underage, who were being forced to work as prostitutes.

Spokesman Sam Clemens says officers in the department's Street Crimes Unit had seen an online ad where two women were advertising themselves, and he says the investigation took them to an east-side hotel on Saturday night.

Clemens says detectives saw a man and two women leave in a van, but it returned soon, and he says as officers were getting information from the hotel clerk, one of the women ran past them with the man chasing her:

Clemens says 33-year-old Thomas Alexander Roberts of Milwaukee was arrested for two counts each of pimping and human trafficking and one count each of simple assault and possessing or manufacturing child pornography. He says the last charge was for images on Roberts' cellphone of the other woman, a 17-year-old also from Milwaukee, in different positions.
