Combine beer, snow and a group of enthusiastic people and what do you get?  Possibly an entry in the Guinness Book Of World Records.

A group of beer lovers will be attempting to break the world record of the largest snowball fight at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St.Paul, Minnesota, at an event known as the Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival on January 25, 2014.  To make it into the Guinness Book of World Records, a minimum of 7,000 eager and willing participants will be needed to throw snowballs at each other for at least 1 minute.

Project manager Joseph Alton isn't concerned with Mother Nature possibly hindering the amount of snow.  He says that snowmaking machines will be available to them if the amount of snow needed comes up short.  The State Fair officials also plan to stockpile some snow between now and then to help things along.

The current Guinness World Record for the largest snowball fight was set earlier this year in Seattle, with about 5,800 people flinging snowballs at each other for 90 seconds.
