If you are looking for one last great summer celebration, Worthing is the place to be this weekend! The Worthing Days committee and Worthing Community Fire Department have put together a two-day festival of all that is fun and family, including a parade, a car show, volleyball tourney and more!

Worthing Days is happening this Friday and Saturday (August 25 & 26) with a full roster of activities. Friday, a delicious supper prepared by the 4-H Dakota Lassies & Ranchers, will be served at the Worthing Civic Center beginning at 5 and going until 7. The bean bag tourney and Classic Car cruise begin at 6 PM on main street. The Masonic Lodge is serving up frosty root beer floats at 6:30 and then kids movie night gets underway at 7 in the civic center.

Saturday kicks off bright and early with a 5K Road Race to benefit the Honor Flight Network. Registration is at 7:30 AM on Main Street, with the run beginning at 8 AM. 9 AM brings a flurry of activities as the Volleyball tournament begins, parade entries start lining up and the blood drive competition between the Worthing Volunteer Fire department and the city of Worthing commences at the Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank mobile at the elementary school.

The Worthing Days Parade begins at 10 and afterwards take your kids over to the elementary school for inflatables fun, a dunk tank and wet slide. There is also a Disc Golf tourney launching at 10 AM. Lunch prepared by the Masonic Lodge is served from 11 to 2. The kids Bike Poker Rodeo starts at 2 and there will be Bingo fun for everyone at 3 PM in the Civic center.

Finally on Saturday night the Worthing Community Fire Department is sponsoring a fundraising street dance. $10 will get you in to see Sioux Falls rockers Driven cranking out the tunes from 8 to midnight.
