Friends of felines can expect a purr-fect weekend at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The Big Sioux Cat Club is hosting the Big Sioux Cat Show Saturday, October 31, 2015 and Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds from 9:00AM-4:00PM.

There will be four rings of judging each day. Cat shows are usually divided and judged in three different categories:  whole, altered (spayed or neutered) and household pet.  The household pet category is judged on grooming and personality, not breed.  Household pets must be altered.

Shantel and Mitch Krebs will be the guest judges for the cat costume contest on Saturday afternoon. (October 31, 2015) Come and cheer for your favorite feline to win.

Admission is a requested free-will donation of $5 for adults, $3 for students or $12 for a family pass. Adults can also bring a bag of cat food to be donated to a local shelter and get a reduced admission price of $2 for an adult.  Children in costume can enter for free.

Along with booths of cat related items that will be for sale, kittens and cats looking for their forever home will be up for adoption from All Cats Rescue.
