Zucchini Drop Is Great Goodwill Idea

The bounty of the garden is a wonderful thing to share.  After the 8th day of canning what you produced, it can turn a joy more into a grind.

August 8 is deemed “Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Front Porch Night” so others can enjoy home-grown garden goodies.  The concept is okay with dropping off packages anonymously.  There’s also nothing wrong with knocking on the door and presenting the gift in person.  It can also be a time to share recipes or do a little catching up before the weather turns cooler in the Sioux Falls area.

Either way, zucchini on my doorstep would get cut up and baked in a vegetable medley.  Quick bread or stir-fry would also be a logical destination.  Then when the plant in the home garden starts producing, the gift circle continues.
