A Legendary 80s Icon Is Playing near Sioux Falls This August
You gotta love summertime. The heat, the humidity, the mosquitoes, and all the great concerts and shows that always seem to hit the road throughout the summer months.
The other day I was snooping on the web, to see who is out and about this summer, and stumbled across an 80s icon that is going to be in our own backyard this August.
Do the songs "Rich Girl", "Maneater", "I Can't Go for That", "Private Eyes", "She's Gone", "Out of Touch", and "Kiss on My" List ring a bell? They should, because they we all over the radio as the duo Hall and Oates blanketed the pop music charts with hit after hit from the mid-70s through the mid-80s.
Half of that legendary duo is planning a hit stop just two and a half hours south of Sioux Falls this August.
Daryl Hall, of Hall and Oates, is playing the Omaha Performing Arts Orpheum Theater on Tuesday night, August 15th at 7:30.
Joining Daryl that evening will be special guest Todd Rundgren. Todd's coming along to say "Hello It's Me" and "Bang on the Drum."
The pop duo of Hall and Oates had six number-one singles from six different multi-platinum albums throughout the mid-70s to mid-80s. They were the shiznick back in those days, and I imagine Daryl Hall will be belting out most, if not all of those big hits that night down in the Big O.
Tickets for his Omaha, Nebraska performance are on sale right now.
And should Daryl get the itch to "Make Your Dreams Come True" anytime soon here in Sioux Falls, we'll be sure to let you know right away.
