It's not going to be 4 feet, but we could see some flurries early this week.  According to the National Weather Service, there's a 30% chance of snow after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning (October 22) and a 20% chance before 1 p.m. on Tuesday (October 22).  Otherwise, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40's for highs and upper 20's to low 30's for overnight lows.  You'll start to see more leaves falling this week, too.

When you feel like raking those leaves, the leaf drop-off sites are open in Sioux Falls.

There are two locations:

  • 1015 East Chambers Street (west of Cliff Avenue by the Household Hazardous Waste Facility and Street Department)  Access is available from North Drive to East Ash Street to Chambers Street, and from North Cliff Avenue to Chambers Street.  The driveway just west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be the only access point.
  • North Lyon Blvd (west of the Fairgrounds).  Access is available from West 12th Street to North Lyon Blvd, and from West Madison Street to North Lyon Blvd.  The driveway just north of the railroad crossing will be the only access point.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday from Saturday, September 28 through Sunday, December 1, 2013.
