Black Violin is a musical duo made up of Wil B. on viola and Kev Marcus on violin. However, these guys take classical music and mix it with Hip-Hop elements to make a whole new type of musical experience.

Wil and Kev are classically trained and join forces with DJ SPS and a live drummer, Nat Stokes.

Black Violin has partnered with Turnaround Arts to help make art and music education possible in underserved communities.

Black Violin has done it all. They've done music for TV shows and award shows and have been featured on "The Tonight Show," "Ellen," "The Wendy William’s Show," and "NPR."

You may have heard their song "Dreamer" in a Bose commercial starring Olympic skier MIkaela Shiffrin.

Now, I'm really gonna name drop! These guys have collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including but not limited to Kanye West, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Wu-Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys.

Their album, Stereotypes, went to #1 on Billboard's Classical Crossover chart and #4 on the R&B chart.

Oh, and did I mention they're having a show at The Washington Pavilion. You have the opportunity to see them live and in person on April 18th at 7:30 PM.

Tickets are available here or at The Washington Pavilion box office.
