The Wisconsin Herd made the best adjustments in the final quarter to march past the Sioux Falls Skyforce 117-109 on Friday night.

At the conclusion of a two week road trip, Sioux Falls (7-8) found success at the beginning of each half. Invariably the Herd (10-6) would turn over a resilient new leaf in the even periods to force halftime and end of game advantages.

As the fourth quarter unfolded, Wisconsin spent the first seven minutes drawing even until Xavier Munford buried a three with 4:43 left to erase a 10-point deficit. Momentum stayed in the Herd’s grasp for the balance of the contest as Sioux Falls could only produce 4-22 from the floor for the entire frame. It was the only quarter that Sioux Falls failed to score at least 30 points.

Munford led the Herd with 26 points and 6 assists. Two others racked up the points on the home floor as Cameron Oliver finished with 24 points and JeQuan Lewis provided 20 points off the bench.

Ike Nwamu for the Skyforce exploded for a career high 31 points by hitting 8 from long range. Tony Mitchell flirted with a triple double by virtue of a 27 point, 10 rebound, 8 assist, 4 steal, 1 block performance.

Sioux Falls will be back at the Sanford Pentagon for the first time since December 1 to meet the Iowa Wolves on Sunday. The turnaround is quicker for the Herd with an encounter at home with Erie tonight (December 16).
