Do You Have the Best Cheese Ball Recipe?

I'll admit it, I've never made a cheese ball.  How can this be?  Cheese balls are staples at any holiday party.  I'm not a huge fan of cream cheese unless it's mixed in something like cheesecake or mashed potatoes.  Since most cheese balls are made of cream cheese, I'm kinda screwed.  I think with the right recipe, I could enjoy a cheese ball, even with the cream cheese.

I looked at several recipes online.  Is anyone else addicted to Pinterest?  We'll talk about that addiction another time.  Pinterest was a great place to find cheese ball recipes.  Kraft Foods also had several tasty looking recipes.  For some reason, I just think that someone's old family recipe would be better than any I have found online.
