There's a lot of great sports stories from the weekend, but there is one that is making some news in the state of Florida! 16-year old high school junior Holly Neher made state history as she became the first female to ever throw a touchdown pass!

Hollywood Hills High School was trailing 21-0 in the 4th quarter to Hallandale High School and head coach Brandon Graham decided to make a quarterback change and brought in the junior. In her first pass attempt, she connected on a 42-yard touchdown pass.

The crowd goes crazy. The sideline goes crazy. The referees are smiling. Everyone congratulates the quarterback. According to ABCnews, Holly is only the second girl in the 51-year history of her 2,000-student high school to play on the varsity football team.

Hallandale High won the game 21-7.
