Girls' Generation singer Taeyeon is topping charts with her new solo EP.

The 29-year-old K-pop star, born Kim Tae-yeon, reached No. 1 on 12 iTunes charts Tuesday following the release of Something New, according to The Korea Herald.

Something New topped iTunes charts in Cambodia, Chile, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, among other countries. The EP and and a music video for the single "Something New" debuted Monday.

The "Something New" video shows Taeyeon playing an assassin. She takes out two men in an elevator before fighting with a woman in a hotel room.

Taeyeon came to fame with the girl group Girls' Generation, which last released the album Holiday Night in August. She is known for the solo singles "Like a Star," "Starlight" and "Fine."
