Six guns were stolen from a Sioux Falls home in mid June have been recovered.

"We were able to recover all the guns," Sioux Falls Police Department Public Information Officer Sam Clemens told us.

"Some of them were found in the homes of these kids. Some of them have been thrown in the river. One was found in a creek. Thankfully we were able to recover all of the stolen guns. We have the five teenagers that were charged with burglary and possession of stolen property. The 18-year-old woman was also charged with possession of stolen property."

Clemens says team work between the Sioux Falls Police Department and Minnehaha County Sheriff's office was instrumental in solving the case.

"Thankfully we don't see a lot of reports where multiple guns are taken. But, it's pretty unusual we were able to get all of them back especially in a short amount of time."

Clemens says the owner of the stolen guns provided the model and serial numbers to police which helped in the investigation.
