Back in February news broke that LifeLight, a Christian music festival held over the Labor Day weekend each year on a farm near Worthing, South Dakota was coming to an end after 19 years.

It was also announced at that same time, that LifeLight would be replaced by a similar, but smaller festival called "CityFest."

On Tuesday, the CityFest music event started to come into focus.

KDLT News is reporting CityFest will take place on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 in Sioux Falls. The location of the two-day event hasn't been determined yet, but we do know, who a couple of the performers will be.

Event organizers announced on Tuesday, (March 28) that Christian pop rock band The Newsboys and artist Jeremy Camp will be the headliners for the first ever CityFest later this summer.

Christian rock fans need to stay tuned, CityFest organizers plan to release the list of the remaining performers and the location of the event in the coming weeks.
